ABOUT THE INSTRUCTOR
We are pleased to announce that
Mr. Daniel Altbaum will continue teaching the IT Mentor Group,
Inc. CCNA™ 2-Day Boot Camps. Mr. Altbaum's unique teaching style
has made him a legend in the technical training industry. His
students consistently score in the top 10% of exam takers.
As of January 1, 2008 he has trained over 7,000 CCNA 2-Day Boot
Camp students.
Mr. Altbaum holds a Masters
Degree in Network Security and has a B.S. in Business Management
with an emphasis in Information Systems. He is currently
enrolled in the Information Sciences PhD program at the Naval Post
Graduate School (NPS)
in Monterey, CA. He was the first person
to achieve the Cisco Certified Security Professional
certification. He holds five Cisco® Certifications, CCNP™, CCDP™,
CCNA™, CCDA™, CCSP™, and has passed the CCIE™ written exam.
Mr. Altbaum is also a Certified Information Systems Security
Professional (CISSP) and holds numerous other certifications from
various vendors and professional organizations.
He is a former Cisco®
Networking Academy Instructor at San Diego City College and is a
highly recognized technology and information systems speaker. Mr.
Altbaum is the Chief Information Officer for two cable television
companies in the San Diego
area, and is a Technical Reviewer for Cisco® Press. His recent
projects include the Cisco® Press, CCDA™ Exam Certification Guide,
the Cisco® Press Interconnecting Cisco Network Devices textbook,
and the Cisco® Press CCNP Cisco Networking Academy Program:
Semester Five Companion Guide - Advanced Routing.
Currently, Mr. Altbaum is
working with the US Navy as a top networking consultant. He has
spent the last 5 years working with the military to bring future
technologies such as MPLS, QoS, VoIP and IPv6, to the fleet. Some
of the projects that he has worked on include FORCEnet, Trident
Warrior 03, 04, 05, 06, 07, 08, Joint Rapter 04, 05, 06, Global Information Grid,
Ballistic Missile Defense, PO Sheng, Joint Tactical Radio System, and Transformational Communications.
