Trident Warrior 2006
- The Premier FORCEnet Sea Trial Event
The initial
vision for Trident Warrior 06 (TW 06) is that it will be
conducted in a Joint environment with Commander THIRD FLEET
(C3F) as the Combined Force Maritime Component Commander (CFMCC).
It will explore the required Command and Control (C2)
systems a CFMCC needs to conduct deliberate and crisis
planning with the Joint Task Force Commander and the other
services. This
exploration will take place in the context of
conducting/supporting the global war on terrorism (GWOT).
In addition to C3F and AUSCANNZUKUS, it is proposed
that TW 06 be conducted in a partnership with the U.S. Coast
Guard, appropriate Inter Agencies and other DoD activities,
focusing on the issues necessary to provide a comprehensive
operational and tactical picture built upon complete Maritime
Domain Awareness (MDA).
Further, TW 06 will leverage significant resources scheduled
to support a major bi-annual Pacific Fleet multination fleet
exercise, and continue to expand exploration of the main
themes being addressed in TW05.
Specifically, it will continue to look at Coalition C2,
and potential technologies to meet the cross-domain solution
requirements needed to support Coalition operations.
